Hello! I am Patience Coleman.
I am starting my second year of school counseling at Sacred Heart, St. Patrick’s, and Immaculate Conception/St.
Joes’s. I am really excited to start this school year off right!
My husband, Les, and I live just outside of the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area and
are thoroughly enjoying the slower pace that small towns give you. I currently hold a Master’s Degree
in Mental Health Counseling, as well as a K-12 School Counseling Endorsement. In the evenings I also provide
family therapy for a local agency, so my whole day is filled with kids and families.
I was able to meet many of the great parents involved in the different Catholic School Systems, and I
hope that I will be able to meet many more this year. It is truly an honor to be able to meet and learn
about the many children and families. I am available for any and all of the students within the three schools
that I am at, but I am also here for the families. I believe that family and school are enmeshed and therefore
families are extremely important to my counseling philosophy.
Here is to an EDUCATING, ENGAGING,
EMPOWERING, and EXCELLENT year!!
